Slavens Named Whole Child Distinguished School
We are proud to announce that Slavens K-8 has been named a 2024–2025 Whole Child Distinguished School by Denver Public Schools—one of only 10 schools in the entire district to receive this honor! This recognition highlights schools that go above and beyond in creating inclusive, supportive environments where every student can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
As part of the ProComp agreement between DPS and DTCA, this distinction celebrates our work in areas such as health education, social-emotional learning, family engagement, and overall student and staff wellness. We remain committed to fostering a school culture where all learners are empowered to pursue their passions and flourish as confident, compassionate individuals.
