Posted June 1, 2025

We’re proud to share that Principal Darcie Forde has been honored with the 2024–25 Asian/Pacific Islander Denver Public School Administrator Award. This recognition celebrates her commitment to building a welcoming and inclusive school community where students and staff can thrive.

As one teacher shared, “Here at Slavens, we called 2024 the year of Twenty Twenty Forde, because that’s how proud we are to have Darcie Forde as our new principal. Darcie has led our staff for years in various roles and always with admirable dedication and compassion. Our school shirts this year even say ‘Ohana’ (Hawaiian for family), because Darcie is passionate about uniting us all as one family. Darcie brings her servant’s heart and mindset to school daily, seeking to do what is best for our community and working hard to support a positive and inclusive environment for students and staff to thrive.”

This award is a reflection of the collective work and spirit of the Slavens community.
